I am sure you have heard of the 10,000 hours for mastery. If you have not here is a link to an article about it click here. It is an interesting idea so, for example, someone wants to master the piano they will have needed to practice or play for 10,000 hours. This might sound discouraging but it really is not. I think it is exciting knowing that with practice you can become an expert at anything.
This should be true with everything you would like to master. You will just need to log the hours practicing. This does apply to the business or venture that you are doing. You will need 10,000 hours to master it. But I think that there is a secret that can help you gain those hours quicker.
10,000 Hours For Mastery Secret?
It is simple. I think that skills transfer so if you were in customer service before you started your business then that will transfer. Sure you might use a different program for customers but the service they need will be the same. You can have that as some of those hours. Maybe you were in construction and started your own firm well you might just need to learn the backend. You will have gained many hours while someone else was paying you.
I believe this works with mindset as well. If you played sports, an instrument, or have learned another language then you have the mindset to be successful. Overall, I believe that if we look at things like they transfer then they will. But if we think that it has to be that one thing then they will not and it will be harder for you. I am about getting ahead faster without cutting corners.
