OPM is going around now in the business world. This can stand for many things such as other people’s money, mentorship, and marketing… I think you get the idea. The point is the first two letters “other peoples.” Why is this important? Because you can use a proven track record to get where you want to get faster.
Many times in business you will need to borrow money to keep going. Or you can partner and market with them. The point here is that this helps establish you. This is very key to having success. You will need to have success early if you are going to make it.
This is prevalent in franchising. You have the parent companies everything and you pay to have it. It can cost hundreds of thousands to millions to own a franchise. This is to have a proven track record. It is funny to me that all professionals have a coach but that is not something that we are taught in school. OPM and How It Can Work For You
I would suggest using Other People’s Minds first. Read books or listen to interviews. There is so much out there that is free or inexpensive that we can use to get us started. Sometimes it can be hard to know where to start but starting somewhere is better than not starting at all. Find something you want to get better at and then work on it.
If you can master this OPM in many areas you will be setting yourself up for success. Getting ahead faster by using what others have done. Why now use it as well? We do not always have to reinvent the preverbal wheel. I am sure that you have goals that do not involve building your business forever so why not get to them faster?
