Serving over expecting is something that I feel like many people have lost. This is the idea of giving more than you expect. Why does this matter? Well because when we do that we will reap a benefit. Not always when we are doing it but you will. Most of the time it is delayed and you might not even know when it happens it was because you served someone.
This would be like going over and above for a client even if they have not paid for that service but helping them out. Or sharing knowledge that you have with someone without getting paid. I know for myself at the moment I feel good about what I am doing. But in the long run, the blessing that comes are much more enjoyable.
I will say that you also should do this with the right attitude. Not doing something because you think you will get something that is better. People can feel that and they know. This needs to be someone that you are and not putting on a face.
Serving and The Best Reward
Really the best reward would be that you have helped someone that needed it. To think that it is all about being compensated for everything we do is not how this world was designed. We are here to help each other get through life. I believe a raising tide raises all ships.
I know friends that we all need to eat but giving what we have been blessed with can create a lot of blessings. For myself that I have done this and seen many great returns just in the fact of how I feel about myself and how I hope to make people feel.
